Welcome to Guerrilla Economics!
Guerrilla Economics is a platform that explores topical questions, economics, and uncovers stories of real people from real places.
The Guerrilla Economist is an economic agent operating in the shadows, underground, working to understand the complexities of social, economic and political systems to influence positive change. They are commissioned on covert assignments, on the front lines to investigate the most pressing issues across society and the economy.
We aim to create content that will explore the world in which we live, by speaking first hand with real people from real places, that will help inform and supplement our content. Harnessing the power of the internet, many independent content creators have managed to establish platforms that have enabled the relatively ‘irrelevant’ to be heard, connect, and provide equitable access to knowledge and information that was once deemed a privilege. The monopolisation of ‘power and thought’ is fast becoming redundant, as connective digital technology has ushered in the age of opportunity. As Gill Scott-Heron coined the iconic phrase in the song title ‘The revolution will not be televised’, is somewhat true, because the revolution will be digitised!
We aim to create and produce content through a range of mediums, such as:
- Data-driven analysis;
- Engaging blogs and articles and;
- Striking artistic visuals – Artistic Revolutionary Truth (A.R.T.)
We hope to produce a lot of interesting content on our journey and are excited to see how Guerrilla Economics evolves and what it will become. On that short introduction, thank you for visiting and we look forward to you joining us on our journey!
Hands on-adapt, survival tactics – it’s the guerrilla way!
